Message to Federal Health Minister: "Speak up or Resign"

OTTAWA -- The Canadian Association of Radiologists and the Canadian
Health Coalition have joined forces to analyse the impact and
consequences of the move towards privatization and two-tier health care
recently announced in Nova Scotia, Alberta and Ontario.

The conclusions of the analysis have raised grave concerns about safety
of patients, appropriateness of care, ethical conduct of professionals,
liability issues and international trade implications.

Both organizations are calling on Health Minister Anne McLellan to
exercise her ministerial duty to protect the national health system, or
resign.
