Health Coalition Establishes Office in Kingston

On Monday, April 8th 2002, at 10:30 a.m. the Kingston Health Coalition will be holding an  Office Opening Ceremony at 35 Concession Street. This will be also a chance to celebrate the Resolution passed by the City Council on April 2nd 2002, endorsing Public Health Care and proclaiming May 15th of this year a National Medicare Day.

Deputy Mayor, Kevin George will attend the  ribbon cutting ceremony and officially open the Save Public Medicare campaign office.

Canvassing maps and plans already  decorate the walls of the office. “Many people have come forward to help with the Save Public Medicare campaign. We have ambitious plans and we can use any help you can offer, particularly with canvassing. Many hands make light work!” says Marilyn Birmingham, canvassing coordinator.
