Cavalcades Across Ontario

Since Medicare began, Ontario’s hospitals & MRI/CT clinics have been operated on a non-profit basis. But this is under threat like never before. The provincial Conservatives have announced plans to privatize our hospitals and clinics. They’re planning to pay for-profit corporations to design, build, own and operate hospitals and rent them back to us in leases that last 20 - 60 years. They’re also planning to give contracts to corporations to sell MRI and CT scans for-profit instead of providing them as a service in hospitals.

Start at corner of Front & Bay Sts. and march to the People Over Profit Pavilion at Dundas Square
Join the march, hop on the 2-Tier double-decker bus, watch the profiteer stilt-walkers and puppets, join artists and authors, workers and community members to stop the for-profit takeover of cornerstone Medicare services.
